Practice Profile

Katherine Carter Santos is a litigation and employment Associate with Craig and Macauley Professional Corporation. 

Ms. Santos’ litigation practice consists of representing clients in commercial litigation, as well as defending a multi-national corporation in tort and employment litigation.  Ms. Santos’ appellate work has included representing clients in the Massachusetts Court of Appeals, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Santos also has a broad range of experience in advising clients on employment matters.  Ms. Santos advises employers on practical solutions to employment problems, drafts and updates employment manuals, and provides updates on recent developments in employment law.  Ms. Santos also has experience drafting and enforcing non-competition agreements, and she has represented clients in employment litigation in front of the MCAD.

In 2010, Ms. Santos was named a Rising Star in the Rising Stars Edition of Law and Politics of Boston Magazine.

Education:

Ms. Santos received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was awarded a Morehead Scholarship and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Ms. Santos received her JD, with Honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Santos was a member of the North Carolina First Amendment Law Review.
