William R. Moorman, Jr. is a shareholder and director of Craig and Macauley Professional Corporation where he concentrates in commercial litigation, and insolvency matters including bankruptcy and business reorganization. Mr. Moorman also represents lenders and borrowers in the negotiation and documentation of commercial finance transactions, loan workouts and restructurings. He has a diverse practice that includes representation of clients in corporate and transactional matters, litigation, and insolvency matters.
Representative Matters and Work For Clients
Mr. Moorman has extensive experience representing clients in complex chapter 11 reorganizations, chapter 7 liquidations, and related bankruptcy acquisitions, litigation and transactions. He has represented corporate and individual debtors, creditors' committees, secured and unsecured creditors, investors, lessors, asset purchasers and trustees. Mr. Moorman has also counseled lenders and borrowers in numerous out of court workouts.
In addition, Mr. Moorman has represented clients in complex negotiations, transactions and litigation involving sales of businesses, contract disputes, employment issues and other commercial matters. His local and national business clients have included financial institutions, venture capitalists, real estate developers, internet related businesses, software developers, information technology companies, retailers, manufacturers, landlords, restaurants, health care businesses, doctors and attorneys.
Awards and Professional Activities
Mr. Moorman has been named a Massachusetts “SuperLawyer” by the publishers of Law & Politics and Boston Magazine. He has also has published articles and has lectured at seminars on bankruptcy and other commercial law topics.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Bankruptcy Section of the Boston Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association.

Mr. Moorman received his B.A. from Colby College and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law. Mr. Moorman was a member and editor of the Boston University Law Review.
