Monique Austin is Of Counsel in the Corporate and Banking Department of Craig and Macauley Professional Corporation.
Ms. Austin focuses her practice on advising banks and other financial institutions in connection with mergers and acquisitions, capital raising activities, and a wide variety of operational transactions. Ms. Austin also has significant bank regulatory expertise, including a practical understanding of how changes stemming from The Dodd-Frank Act will impact clients.
Ms. Austin has recent experience representing institutions deemed to be in “troubled condition” before state and federal financial regulators. She has successfully worked with boards of directors and management of troubled institutions to facilitate positive working relationships with regulators.
Ms. Austin also maintains an active general corporate and securities practice. She counsels public and private companies across industries, including life sciences, green technology, and real estate development, on matters such as corporate governance, commercial finance, executive compensation, and periodic reporting obligations.

Ms. Austin has been named as a Rising Star in the Rising Stars Edition of Law and Politics and Boston Magazine. Ms. Austin is an active member of the Boston Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Ms. Austin also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Kingsley Montessori School.
Education
Ms. Austin received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Boston College and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Boston University School of Law. Ms. Austin also completed one year of undergraduate study in politics and economics at Mansfield College, Oxford University, Oxford, England. While in law school, Ms. Austin served as an Editor of the Annual Review of Banking Law.
