Mary P. Brody

Areas of Practice

Ms. Brody is a Shareholder of Craig and Macauley Professional Corporation, where she represents a diverse group of financial institutions, businesses, not for profit corporations and individuals.  She advises business and financial institutions on corporate and compensation matters and represents them in transactional matters.  She also advises closely held companies and individuals on business succession and personal planning.

Representative Matters and Work for Clients

Ms. Brody advises banks and financial institutions on lending compliance and regulatory issues, as well as compensation and governance matters.  She has represented financial institutions in complex financing transactions, including syndications, participated credits and letter of credit transactions.

Ms. Brody also represents businesses in corporate and transactional matters, including formation, raising capital, transactions, employment matters, compensation programs, ownership structures for family and closely held businesses, and succession planning.  Ms. Brody also advises individuals on estate and personal planning matters.

Awards and Professional Activities

Ms. Brody has lectured on a variety of banking topics, as well as legal topics of particular interest to women.  She has also participated in panels on topics related to professional development for women lawyers.

She is a member of the American, Boston and Womens Bar Associations.

Education

Ms. Brody received her JD from Harvard University (1974), and her BA from the University of Wisconsin (Madison), where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
